Overview
The arrival sequence for a boutique hotel, conceived as a single carved volume. A sculptural stair anchors the space, lit from a concealed clerestory that tracks daylight across the stone.
Challenge
A tall but narrow lobby volume that felt like a corridor rather than an arrival.
Solution
A curved stone stair and horizontal shadow gap re-proportioned the room, drawing the eye across rather than up.
